Mood: Pondering

So I had the privilege to travel to California a few weeks ago.

The weather was fantastic and I cannot begin to explain how I felt at home in such a climate.

I am sure that many feel the same way though so it is not like I am extremely original or anything like that. Lol

I visited a dear, dear friend whom I had not seen for nine years….NINE YEARS….that is just crazy.

When seeing her going down the escalator at the airport if felt nothing like nine years.

She looked the same and the fantastic energy she always had was coming at me in abundance.

I simply adore this woman! <3

So I go to her place and the weather was so nice and warm everyday during my stay.

To complete this fortunate weather situation I got to meet people during my week that were shining just as brightly and warm as the sun itself.

So much love and laughter and easygoing people……I was truly blown away by it all.

I felt privileged to even get the opportunity to spend time with them at all.

Imagine being in such a social gathering and where all push each other to better things and support friends and family thru hardship and turmoil too.

But back to the weather…..

I love summer! Everything feels easier when the sun is out and when the warm weather can give you the opportunity to wear whatever you might need. The rays of sunshine feeds you energy and I love it!

And you can be outside too. Just having breakfast outside was such a treat when I was in Cali. We do that here too for sure but here it is just a few short weeks a year when it is even possible to do that.

When I lived in Spain it was the same. We were outside more or less all the time and I just loved that.

It feels like people are happier when living in warmer places. :)

I know that we Swedes are for sure……happier during the summertime that is…..

We live for the summer and hibernate during the winter months.

I could so do without that……..

I would much rather live all year round where it is warm and if wanting snow or cold I could go away to find it. :) I am not at all keen on the dark and cold days of Swedish autumn and winter and even parts of spring it dull, rainy, cold and boring.

So to sum it all up…..if I had the opportunity and the practical possibilities to live where it is warm I would so do it in a heartbeat.

I mean just to be able to dress however you want without layers and layers of clothing.

That would be a dream come true for sure.
